伊王島 Iojima island

長崎市街からほど近い伊王島に行ってきました。橋を渡って車で行くことができます。伊王島海水浴場は意外なほど綺麗で穏やかで波もなく、沙羅も大のお気に入り♪温泉にも入って一日楽しめました！
We have been to Iojima island nearby the central city of Nagasaki, which can be reached by car over the bridge. Iojima beach was unexpectedly beautiful and calm without a big wave so that Sarah was really fond of it :-) Iojima natural spa was also available thereby we enjoyed this island all the day!

精霊流し Spirit Boat Procession

8月15日の盆に長崎で行われる精霊流しを初めて見ました。爆竹や花火の爆音の激しさと故人を弔う慎ましやかのコントラストが印象的でした。自分も弔われるなら、まちを練り歩いて盛大に楽しくやってほしいと思いました♪　ちなみに、精霊船は海に辿り着くことなく、陸地で解体・処理されていました。。。
It was my first time to see Shoro Nagashi (Spirit Boat Procession) in Nagasaki held on 15th August as a part of Bon festival. An impressive thing was the vivid contrast between the rush of explosions of firecrackers and the other fireworks, and the modest of mourning for the deceased. I feel like asking my memorial service to be held like this - splendidly and joyfully parade the street in procession :-) On a side note, no single spirit boat reached the sea but got dismantled and disposed onshore...

【批評】映画「風立ちぬ」（宮崎駿）

宮崎アニメの最新作を観てきました。アニメーションでキスシーンを見るのがいいかどうかは別として、ほんの7、80年前に激動の時代を愛する人と懸命に生きた人達がいる、というメッセージは戦争を思い出すお盆のこの時期に見るのが最適と感じました。それにしても堀越二郎の声が良かったです。あとユーミンの歌も。

長崎半島 Nagasaki Peninsula

長崎半島を南下して、高浜と脇岬海水浴場に行ってきました。市内から１時間かけて行ったのに、海に着いた途端、「カエルカエルカエルカエル」の連呼（又はマイカーを指して「アッチ」）、帰りました♪
Pushing southward in Nagasaki Peninsula, we have just been to Takahama and Wakimisaki beaches. After 1-hour drive, once we arrived at the beach Sarah told me, "I wanna go home, I wanna go home..."(or "I wanna go there" - there was my car...) then went back home immediately ;-)
