小倉北区こどもまつり Kokura Kids Festival

小倉北区こどもまつりに行ってきました。北九州市ではこういう子ども向けのイベントが毎週のようにあるので、沙羅も「今度の週末はどこ行くの？」といつも楽しみにしています♪
We have visited the Kokura-kita Ward Kids Festival. This kind of kids event takes place almost every weekend in Kitakyushu city so Sarah always looks forward to it like saying "Which event shall we go next weekend?" ;-)

アユの放流 Ayu Young Fish Stock

紫川に約２万匹の稚魚を放つアユ放流祭に参加してきました。川も昔より劇的にきれいになっているようで、沙羅もアユが元気に育って戻ってきて欲しそうでした♪
We have joined the young fish stock event to discharge 20,000 young river fishes, Ayu into the Murasaki river . It seemed to me that this river has been dramatically cleaner than before and Sarah wanted young fishes to come back after their growing up ;-)

チューリップまつり Tulip Festival

八幡西区で行われたチューリップまつりに行ってきました。川沿いに色とりどりの花が咲き乱れ、まるでイギリスのヨークにいるようです！沙羅はチューリップを球根ごと抜いて、ご満悦の様子♪
We have been to the Tulip Festival held in Yahata-nishi ward. Colorful flowers bloomed along the river and it's as if we were in York, UK. Sarah looked joyful by uprooting tulips ;-)

キャンパス収穫 Harvest at University Campus

沙羅が北九州市立大学のキャンパスでキャベツと人参を収穫しました。キャベツはその場で葉を食べ、みずみずしく美味しかったです。広場で木琴やボール遊び電車ごっこでお友達とわいわい遊び、お昼は学食で美味しく食べたあとは、学生さんのアカペラコンサートを聞いて帰りました。
Sarah has harvested cabbages and carrots at the campus of Kitakyushu University where is an exchange base for students and local people. She's had a piece of cabbage there which was juicy and yummy. Besides, she also enjoyed playing the xylophone, a ball and train with her friends. After the yummy lunch in the school cafeteria, she listened to "a cappella" songs by the university students.
