【Film】ゴミ地球の代償 Trashed (2012)

先週末、東京国際映画祭に出展されたこの映画を観てきました。沙羅が生まれて初めて奥さんと二人でデートすることできました♪
Last week, I watched the film called "Trashed"with my wife at Tokyo International Film Festival. This was the first time to go out together since Sarah was born :-)

ゴミ地球の代償

レバノンの海岸線、そこにそびえ立つのは家庭ゴミや有害産業廃棄物、注射針などの医療器具、そして動物の死骸が折り重なってできたゴミの山だ。それらは美しい海へと垂れ流され、汚染を広げている。数十年の無計画なゴミの放置による結果は、あまりにも醜く深刻だ。ジェレミー・アイアンズは、世界中に自ら足を運びその過酷な汚染の現場を本作に収めている。昔と違って現代ゴミは複雑になっている。例えば、海の中に広がる汚染物質のダイオキシンやプラスティックの粒子。プランクトンにも見えるそれらを、魚たちが餌にしていることは言うまでもない。ゴミの環境汚染問題は他の誰でもない人類の責任だが、その代償を払うのは、地球上に住むすべての生物なのだ。ゴミは容赦なく地球の寿命を縮めている。地球の終焉を再現したかのようなゴミの山と汚染の映像に、戦慄が走る。音楽は、『ブレードランナー』ヴァンゲリスが担当。2012年カンヌ国際映画祭特別上映作品。

Starring Jeremy Irons, Trashed looks at the risks to the food chain and the environment through pollution of our air, land and sea by waste. The film reveals surprising truths about very immediate and potent dangers to our health. It is a global conversation from Iceland to Indonesia between the film star Jeremy Irons and scientists, politicians and ordinary individuals whose health and livelihoods have been fundamentally affected by waste pollution. Visually and emotionally the film is both horrific and beautiful: an interplay of human interest and political wake-up call.
