雑草図鑑 Weed Picture Book

雑草図鑑によると、シロツメクサ（白詰草）は鎖国時代、オランダから長崎出島にガラス細工を運ぶ際の緩衝材として箱に敷き詰められたことから、「詰草」と呼ばれるようになったのだそう。今は紙やプラで代替されていますが、思いがけない歴史を発見しました♬
According to Picture Book of Weed, white clover named Shirotsumekusa in Japanese and literally means white 'packing weed'. This is because it was laid in the box as buffer materials when carrying glass products from the Netherlands to Nagasaki Dejima during the Edo era of Japan. Now its functions have been compeletely replaced by paper and/or plastics.  The pics book unexpectedly told me this kind of history :-)

フィールドアスレチック Field Athletics

平和の森公園にフィールドアスレチックをしに行ってきました。水にも浸かりそうなものもあり、沙羅も「また行きたい！」とお気に入り♫
 We have played field athletics at Heiwanomori park. As there are pond-based activities, it's become Sarah's favorite spot with her saying "I wanna go again!"

 

中禅寺湖キャンプ Camp at Lake Chuzenji

日光国立公園の中禅寺湖に2泊3日でキャンプに行ってきました。朝晩は冷え込みましたが、お友達もいっぱいできて、沙羅もとっても楽しんでいました♫
We camped at Lake Chuzenji in Nikko National Park two nights stay. Although it was cold in the morning and night, Sarah enjoyed a lot with many new friends ;-)

幸手桜まつり Satte Cherry Blossom Festival

埼玉の幸手に桜を観に行ってきました。桜と菜の花のコントラストが絵画の様で本当に綺麗で、沙羅もピクニックを楽しんでいました！その後は、代々木公園のアウトドアデイジャパンを覗いたり、近所で花見をしたりと楽しい週末でした♪
We have been to Satte, Saitama to see Sakura. The contrast of cherry and rape blossoms is something like a painting and Sarah enjoyed the family-based picnic there! Afterwards, we visited Outdoor Day Japan in Yoyogi park and enjoyed cherry-blossom viewing in the neighborhood - it was a lovely weekend ;-)
